Windsor TacoFest & Lowrider Show Returning to Windsor Town Green July 8
WINDSOR – Bring the family to the second annual Windsor Taco Fest & Low Rider Car Show Saturday, July 8, from 3-8 p.m. on the Windsor Town Green.
Sample tacos from some of the best Sonoma County food trucks, along with other favorites including elote, burritos, margaritas, beer, aguas frescas with Chamoy. See which tacos are the winners with our panel of local celebrity chefs!
Bring your own beach or camp chair and enjoy free music and children’s activities. Shop an arts and crafts market featuring the work of local artisans. Wander through one of the county's biggest classic Lowrider shows, which draws entries from across the north Bay Area.
Tacos at the event can only be purchased with a TacoFest wristband, purchased in advance on the Somos Windsor website. (Click Here to purchase a wristband.) Other Latino savory dishes, desserts and drinks will be for sale for cash throughout TacoFest.
TacoFest Wristbands are $30 each, and are good for four tacos plus one beverage (alcoholic or non-alcoholic, from The Real Chamoy). Purchase wristbands online at: somoswindsor.org/tacofest.
Wristbands can be picked up at the Windsor Chamber of Commerce Office in the Windsor SMART Train Station at Windsor Road and Windsor River Road. Specific dates and times for wristband pickups will be listed in an email sent to attendees after purchase. The Windsor TacoFest and Lowrider Show is put on by Somos Windsor, a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating and promoting events that spotlight Latino culture and heritage. Wristband sales pay for the rental of the Town Green, insurance and security required to hold the event. Wristband purchases are also essential for TacoFest food vendors, to let them know in advance how much meat, tortillas, and other ingredients to buy in order to feed the crowd.
